So i bought a brand new charge 6, 2 weeks ago. Wouldn't turn on at all out of the box, tried charging and every button and the power cable button push. Sent it back, new one arrived today as a replacement and it is totally dead too!
i’ve charged, held in the side button, searched for it through the app bluetooth and done the 3 push reset on the charge cable. surely they can’t have sent me two dead products? What am I doing wrong????

I'm just curious, how long did you leave the device on the charger? To have a decent charge, the device needs to be on the charger for at least 2 hours.

Initially 30 mins as per the Fitbit advice, then overnight with both units. Still totally blank screens, not sure if the cable is faulty and units out of battery or just the unit faulty bits it’s crazy to have two dead devices in a row. Spent 40 mins on the phone to Fitbit CS this morning and still dead.

Do you know someone else who might have the same model and can borrow their charger for a quick test? If not, is it possible to exchange just the charger? I'm trying to see if it's with the charger or device.
Side note: are the contacts and pins on both the device and charger clean?

Hopefully the upshot of the call this morning is a replacement charger and unit. I cleaned all the contacts and the pins on the charger move in and out. There’s slight scratching on the charge 6 charging brass plates so I know it’s making contact just either not charging or the unit itself if dead. I tried my laptop, two different plugs and verified them with other low power devices and all worked so it’s not a plug or outlet issue. So weird.

Awesome! Next time you talk to Support, you could ask for a Battery Test to help diagnose the issue.
