I recently did an upgrade from my charge 4 to charge 6, and have regretted it ever since. I found the charge 4 very user friendly, with all of the applications I needed out of a fitness track, and working when I needed it to. I’ve had the charge 6 for 2 months now, and what a disappointment. From the harsh clock faces, to screen wake not working, to every time I start a work out it ends it two minutes later, but every time the watch gets wet it starts a workout. And now the sleep score has stopped working. I have spent more time on the community forum trying to fix issues with this watch then actually enjoying its use, and I’m at a loss as to how fitbit let all of the reliable features of their fitness tracker go with this new version

Agreed. I upgraded from 5 ( just stopped working/ charging). So went to 6. Can’t change exercises. Very slow in response and updating. Not happy. Not user friendly at all

I agree EmilyCorrigan.
i had a Charge 6 and the display can’t be read outside. I upgraded to the Charge 6. It won’t stay paired, and I have to do it several times a day. I’m sorry for your trouble.

Hello @EmilyCorrigan , @NotSmiling
That doesn't sound like normal behavior for your Charge 6 devices. Since they are less than a year old, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link)

I completely, completely agree with you. Its honestly really sad, because it started off as such a great company with a really great concept. I really feel like where they peaked was at the charge 4. It has so many features that the charge 5 is missing and by the looks that the charge 6 is missing too. I upgraded to the charge 5 when it came out and sadly, its been nothing but disappointment. Thank goodness I still have my charge 4. It was simple, yet effective. You could even check the weather and if you completed all your tasks they even used to have this little game you could play! but their quality has tremendously gone down. Right now I am on my second charge 5 on my way to the the third replacement. Why? Because not even a year into each of them, and they all stop working. They just die on me for whatever reason and no matter what I do, I can't revive them. Like I don't want to pay with my fitbit. I can do that with my phone. How about they give us some of the features the charge 4 had? and mainly its longevity!

I was looking into upgrading from my charge 4 to the 6. No reason for it just because it’s new. I love my charge 4. It does exactly what I want it to do and I love that the battery stays charged for almost two weeks. I was gifted an Apple Watch but it annoyed me to charge it every single day. My charge 4 is perfect. I’ve had 9 problems with it

I too recently upgraded to the from the 4 to the 6. The 6 body is much longer and thicker and does not fit my wrist well. the 90 degree angle created from the 6 body to the band makes the band disconnect. The 6 is not as user friendly, the 6 face is much harder to read and too busy. The timers do not work all the time, and I am just frustrated and disappointed with the 6. I'm going to go back to the 4, or just give up on fitbit all together.

I use my fitbit to track exercise including mapping my bike rides and for my work insurance steps and to monitor my sleep. I loved my charge 4 and was hesitant to change BUT when 1) even in my garage I could not see the screen well on the charge 4 (I realized it was time to change when I was trying to shade the fitbit in the gararge to see the gps 2) the gps got more wonky I realized it was time to change. I am quite happy so far. The screen is SO MUCH easier to see (esp if you are over 50 presbyopia crowd). It is true you have to sync it more intentionally at times and that is not fast (with apple phone) Happy with my purchase (and I HATE change)

I have no complaints with my Charge 4 and after seeing this thread I definitely won't be looking for something else. Thank you
