Can Spotify be controlled from Charge 6? I read somewhere that Spotify compatibilty is swapped with Youtube Music but in released info only talks about Youtube Music. I havent used Charge 5 so dont know if/ how Spotify controls could be used on it. Please help, thanks.

@chins22 Fitbit didn't put Spotify - Connect & Control on the Charge 5. I suspect the only music control on the Charge 6 will be YouTube music.

Spotify playback works on the Charge 6, without the app!
I received my Charge 6 in the mail yesterday and with the latest update, I am able to to go to the notification tab on my watch while Spotify is playing and see the playlist name, song name, like the song, go to the previous track, play/ pause, next track and select "don't play this".
I was able to do this by allowing Spotify in Fitbit's notification settings:
I could not find any help on Google with this today so apologies if this is duplicate info.
Hope this can help someone struggling!

Can't do it with Tidal app 😣
I can see only the song name.

Hello everyone! Thanks for your interest in controlling music with your Charge 6.
@kishidy Thanks for the advice. That used to work for the Charge 5 as well. However, it stopped working at some point. I guess it is related to how the notifications are generated on the smartphone and how much information it displays. I had advised the same to Charge 5 users but it suddenly changed. This could happen with the Chagge 6 as well, so keep on using it while it works.
I conclusion, the Charge 6 does not have Spotify control. You can upvote the following suggestion: Add music controls to Charge 6 - click here. This is the best place to make your voice heard. Our team is constantly checking this board for future features. Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for posting. This is the first place I have heard of what you described. I followed the steps and it did give me Spotify control.
I tried it again later and the same thing was not true. I will have to check settings again.
I also seem to have trouble with my other notifications so maybe there is a common thread.

No and it's annoying, I store music locally and any £20 Xiaomi band let me control music on my phone, yet the C6 only works with YouTube music.

I tried to follow these instructions but Spotify is not one of the options I see for App Notifications. 😞

Charge 4 has the Spotify app — but charge 5 and 6 only have youtube music. And you can’t ‘load’ a Spotify app for the charge 6. So you are stuck with only YouTube music.

You can control Spotify on Charge 6 by adding Spotify to notification list in Fitbit App.
Once you start playing music on your phone and pause it, a notification with buttons for music control will pop up on Fitbit 6.

So how is the latest status on this for Charge 6? I am confused as there are different statements here.
All I want (to replace Mi band) is to control Spotify stream playback on my phone or Google Home speakers.
Thx

You've definitely got a Charge 6? I have TikTok and Prime Video too, and those apps don't show up for me either.

Yeah it's a Charge 6, bought it in Nov or Dec last year. I think it may have done one automatic firmware update since, can't remember. Running Pixel 8, Android 14.

Well, question is what happens when you update to the latest firmware?
Maybe you are not so special, just sitting on old FW 🤣
