I was walking on the flat, not very fast and the watch kept buzzing , on checking it I read Elliptical detected, I couldn’t find anything to explain it.
what does it mean ?

Hi, @Nanpat , it means that your Fitbit thinks you are doing an elliptical workout - presumably you were walking particularly smoothly and moving your arms in such a way that the algorithm launched an elliptical exercise. The auto detect feature of the Fitbit works pretty well, but it is not perfect - for example when I cut the grass it often thinks I am on an outdoor bike.
If you do not wish the Fitbit to automatically detect this activity (particularly if it is a workout that you don’t generally do) you can turn off the auto start feature for this activity. On your Fitbit itself swipe left until you come to the exercise app. From the exercise app swipe up to find elliptical and then tap to open. Do not press start. Instead swipe up again to find the settings options for this activity. Continue swiping up until you come to “auto start” and tap to toggle auto start to OFF. Tap again on “Got it”. The Fitbit will no longer auto start that activity.
Tip: you can do the same for other activities you do not use.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums!
