Email from Fitbit Team

ANSWERED

I switched/moved my Fitbit account from Fitbit to Google a long time ago but today I received an email from the Fitbit Team asking me to move it.  This doesn't make sense to me as it was moved ages ago.

Here's the email:

You are receiving this email because your Fitbit account has not been used in the last 2 years and will soon be deleted. One of our primary goals is to keep your health data safe and secure, and an inactive account is more likely to be compromised.

If you want to keep using the Fitbit service, sign into the Fitbit App and follow the instructions to move to a Google Account by May 19, 2026. Learn more.

After May 19, you will have the opportunity to recover your data until the permanent deletion process begins on July 15, 2026. You can also download or delete your data anytime on or before July 15, 2026.

While you’ve been away, Fitbit has improved and added new features to help kickstart your fitness routine. Login to check it out.

Hi @mscatz_9 and @LZeeW, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Thank you for your feedback in regards this email that requests to perform an action already done.

As with many automatic emails, you may just ignore it if you have already moved your Fitbit account to Google.

In addition, this scenario also arrives when a user has more than one account and they have stopped using one of them. If that's the case, you can do as suggested above an just to ignore the message.

I appreciate your preference and i'm sorry for the inconvenience.

@mscatz_9   You aren't the only one who received that email.  The Charge 6 is the first device that required a Google account to set up!  I flagged this post to notify a moderator and ask for clarification.
