Fitbit Charge 6 Hourly Step Goal Discrepancy
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my Fitbit Charge 6 regarding the hourly step goals, and I'm hoping someone here might have some insight or a solution. (Pictures attached below).
My Charge 6 is set to remind me to get 250 steps per hour from 12 PM to 5 PM. I consistently meet these goals, and my watch confirms each hour that I've hit the 250 steps. At the end of the day, my watch tells me I've met all five hourly goals.
However, when I sync my Charge 6 to the Fitbit app on my Android phone, it tells me I've missed two of those hours. This is despite my watch clearly showing I've met them, and I know for a fact I've walked well over 250 steps during those times.
I've already tried several troubleshooting steps, including:
* Restarting my Charge 6
* Restarting my Android phone
* Deleting the Charge 6 from the app and setting it up as a new device
Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the problem. It's incredibly frustrating to know I'm meeting my goals but have the app tell me otherwise.
Has anyone else encountered this problem with their Charge 6 or another Fitbit device? Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ps, i have a Samsung 24 Ultra and the fitbit app is updated.

On phone, try in settings/app/fitbit/storage: clear cache and data. Hope that helps.

Hi @galinakoles. I started seeing the same thing. I don't think it is specific to a Charge 6 or an Android phone. I wear a Sense 2 and use an iPhone. I think there is a hourly steps counting bug. Please tap on your steps tile and look at your hourly steps bar graphs. I bet those last two hours show less than 250 steps taken.
This happened to me yesterday for one of my hours. I know for a fact that I did more than 250 steps. My Sense 2 clock face shows hourly steps. I added up all the numbers from the bar graphs. That total is about 200 steps less than my recorded total.
Please send feedback to Fitbit. You can do this from the Fitbit app. Tap on your profile picture, the Send feedback.

I am having the same issue on my Inspire3. I think there is an inconsistency in the clocks, as it seems to happen when I get a reminder to move and push to reach the 250. Device shows success but app disagrees 😞

Hello @galinakoles , @SusanRCincy
I've been experiencing this issue, too. It's gotten to the point that I double check my hourly step count in the Fitbit app as @LZeeW mentioned to make sure I completed the hourly goal.
Please submit the issue using the Feedback option. The feedback reports are received by the team for review.

Hi @SusanRCincy I’ve seen that, too. Fitbit has the ability to measure time in milliseconds. Yes, milliseconds. It just seems to me that if the device has the information, then the app should have the information.
I send feedback every time my sum of my hourly steps is less than my total steps. I also aim for 300 steps per hour if I can. 😉

Just looked at mine and it looks correct. It's been raining off and on all day so I haven't been out much but just did a Target run which you can see. Did an earlier outing but got bored - lousy weather.
