Plugged in a new Fitbit Charge 6 out of the box today and it won't sync to my Fitbit app -
1. The watch display just says "download the fitbit mobile app".
2. The charger is plugged in, and has been plugged in long enough to be fully charged, but the display does not change. It does make a vibrate noise when connected though, suggesting the charger itself is not broken.
3. When trying to sync via the Fitbit app, the device cannot be located.
4. Have tried pressing the button on the charging cable 3 times to reset. The watch vibrates a little each time but there is no reset happening.
5. Have tried on/off with bluetooth and deleting / reinstalling app.
The Fitbit is utterly unresponsive and just shows the "download the fitbit mobile app" message.

Same,
can't get it to work at all.
Plug your usb cable in and out 3 times instead of pressing that button. that worked for me!

exactly the same problem with mine. VERY frustrating... its just freezes with the code on the ascreen saying "connecting toi fitbit" and then timing out

I have the exact problem on a brand new fit bit 6 and none of the above solutions have worked so far..

I tried everything--reinstalling the app, restarting the phone, restaring Charge6.
It will pair with Fitbit alright (after you have done all those things), but two things will make it stop working:
1) trying to update the tracker
2) removing the tracker from charger.
So its impossible to use.
any suggestions?

Had the same problem as everyone has described. None of the tips on resetting brought the display to life. Finally, I followed notification on the app to install an update on Charge 6. That did the trick, although it took maybe 10 or 15 minutes.

This is not working. My Charge 6 is new. It is synced with phone. It still wants me to download AP. Fully charged. When I try to perform the update it loses it at 25% and has to start over. This has been going on for 3 hours now

Same issues for me and nothing has worked. I set it up fine with no issues and 2 days ago all stopped and now I can't repair it to my phone. Frustrating.
