Fitbit charge 6 calories burnt is wrong...big time

Charge 6...Yesterday i run 1 hours and 5 minutes,it showed me that i burnt 851 calories where my average heart rate was 136. This is not correct for sure. What i suspect, charge 6 amends active calories when you are above some HR levels and instead of 65 minutes workout it calculates 120 minutes work out. the burnt calories should be calculated from actual running minutes not from active minutes. Is there a switch for that? Or any other suggestions?

regards

Hi, @Pilavci , your Fitbit calculates your calorie burn based on a standard formula calculated using height, weight, sex and age, and then adjusting using detected heart rate.  If you are sure that the calculation is wrong, it implies that one or more of the inputs is wrong.  Please first check that you have entered your personal details correctly.  If these are correct, then the next question is whether the HR has been accurately detected.  Of course it will always be an approximation - the Fitbit is not a medical device, but hopefully it will be roughly correct.

You might find it useful to check out the help article explaining how Fitbit counts calories burned .

Around these general principles, which I think are fairly straightforward, Fitbit do not release exact details of their algorithms.
