Forcing move to Google account

ANSWERED

I bought new Charge 6 to replace Charge 5 that stopped working. During setup, it makes you move to Google. I haven’t setup new device because I refuse to movevto Google until they fix all the issues and Fitbit customer complaints. If there isnt a way to continue with old Fitbit account, I will be returning device. Please help.

Hi @LalitaRN  the Charge 6 requires a Google account and if you're new to Fitbit (with any style device) you'll also need a Google Account.

I had a Charge 5 for 16 weeks and the screen went black on June 30th. I sent the purchase back with all the accessories and they literally sent me back the Charge 5 watch face only. I think it happened when I moved my account to Google, as it appears in all the complaints of others. Who keeps all your box, charger, and bands and only sends back the Charge 5 watch face in an envelope? Girl, I am going right back to my apple watch. It sucks cause I loved my really old Fitbit and thats why when my Apple Watch 3 died I decided to go back to Fitbit. Mistake. I did not know they were merged with Google.

What where you asked to send back? For a warranty claim, normally only the part that the claim is for will be asked to be sent back.
