I’m not sure if I have a charge 5 or 6 but it won’t charge

The charger has no button and it looks nothing like the pictures I’ve been shown every time it vibrates I see a white line followed by nothing at all it’s weird  can anyone help me?

Both of them, Charge 5 and Charge 6 have a little button near to the port where the charger is attached to the device. Please, if you are having difficulties to charge your device, follow the steps listed in this help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Please, try to restart the device as suggested in this help article:  How do I restart my Fitbit device?

The button would be on the other side. Is your tracker connected to your Fitbit Account. Open your Fitbit App. Tap the top left corner, you will find your model on the next page.
