Did something change with the sleep tracking on the Charge 6 on or about 23 June 2025. While I used to have sleep scores consistently above 80 with 8 hours sleep, since that date my scores are between 66 and 74 and it shows sleep times between 6 or 7 hours every day (I would occasionally get these sort of sleep scores previously but only if i had a bad nights sleep). Personally, I have not noticed any change in my actual sleep patterns. I have reinstalled my app and restarted my Fitbit and Bluetooth. I have not changed the way I sleep or how I wear the Fitbit. Is there a setting I need to change? Or was there an update that changed the way sleep scores are calculated. Thx

I’ve been having this issue for the last 3 months. Is says I fall asleep at midnight and wake up at 3am, or it will stop tracking if I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Settings are at “normal” and editing the sleep data does not help. Sleep data consistently inaccurate. Please make a change to the algorithm in order to fix this problem that is clearly affecting many users across the board.

Count me in. My sleep tracker has not worked properly since the change in June of 2025. Last night I slept for nearly 7 hours. I got up once for about 3 minutes. The result today showed I was awake for over 2 hours and I had a score of 46. That's just plain junk! I originally bought my Fitbit for steps, and it still works fine in that regard, but as a 10 year customer and premium subscriber, I am terribly disappointed with other aspects of my Fitbit Charge 6, especially the sleep tracker. P.S. I have tried all the suggested fixes multiple times.

Because the Community Leaders remain on mute, many users have given up waiting for the sleep algorithm issues to be addressed (it's been 7 months) and have sought out new devices that they can rely on. Has key IT expertise been shifted to prioritized AI projects?

If they are monitoring this issue, I'd be absolutely shocked. This has been going on for months and they just ignore us. I don't even bother to look at my sleep scores anymore. They are meaningless.

Yes i don't bother with the sleep scores anymore either and if you cannot rely on that then how can you rely on any other data the Fitbit is generating. I now only use the watch function (this works) and to get notifications (this mostly works).

Agree. I just felt I needed to voice my frustration. Thanks.

I am having this issue now with a brand new Charge 6. Upgraded from Charge 5 as that was doing the same. Thought a new device would fix it but no, still the same and a waste of over £100

If they changed something they should change the benchmarking as that is now uselss. I am awake more than my benchmark, less deep sleep than my benchmark and light sleep and REM is all over the place!!

Right, my Charge 5 wasn't giving me a score, now the Charge 6 score is inaccurate and unreliable.

The Charge 5 became unreliable in decembet. I thoughtvan upgrade would solve this. Charge 6 still the same. It says I have been awake far longer than I KNOW I have!

Perhaps that is why the leaders in the Fitbit Community won't actually come out and say there is a problem the the sleep algorithm on the Charge 6 because sales would decline and buyers would be entitled to refunds.

My hubby has said exactly the same. If they admit there is a problem, sales would decline, share price would fall and we cant have that can we???

There seems to be a lot of grumbling going on, so it’s not a small issue. I probably won’t buy another or perhaps a google product. Fitbit used to be good, until they were bought out

Well I have just invested in a new one in the hope that it would solve the issue but no joy. Strange but my husbands Charge 5 is tracking sleep just fine!!

I’ll be curious, mine isn’t that old, perhaps 6 months
