I currently have a Luxe which I have loved - I love the way it looks, the size, how easy it is to use, but it's stopped working - i.e., I can't tap it to come on. I have to keep "jump starting" it by hooking it to the charger even though it's always almost at full charge.
I'm now looking tat buying an Apple Watch SE 2nd Generation, as frankly, it's not that much more (I can get it on Amazon for $199) and I'm getting tired of Fitbit watches not working after a year or so.
I did look at (reluctantly) replacing my Luxe, but I am was not happy about it since it wasn't cheap and I've only had it a year. But it seems they've discontinued the Luxe. Someone mentioned to take a look at the Charge 6 and it seems very similar to the Luxe in features, BUT.... it's still a Fitbit. Do I really want to pay $160 for something that's going to die on me in a year?
Should I just get the SE 2nd Gen Apple Watch and be done with it, knowing I'll have a solid watch that will last me many years and tie into my existing Apple eco-system - iPhone and MacBook Air?
For those of you who have the Charge 6, yes, no?
For those that have the Apple Watch and have had a Fitbit - what's your take?

Hi @macdebbie why not take a look at the Fitbit Inspire 3? I got one after having the Luxe and it's great. I've had no issues with it and it does all I need. It's also not as expensive as the Charge 6 or the Apple watches.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. My husband has an Inspire and likes it but for me, I'm partial to the "dressier" look of the Luxe (and to a lesser extent, the Charge 6).

@macdebbieI completely understand wanting to look dressier. Why not check on Amazon or Etsy and see what's out there in a fancier band for the Inspire 3? Might find something that will fit your needs.

Hi, I have a Charge 6 in rose gold with orange and and I like the look. The rose gold seems a bit dressier than a silver or black watch and it tones well with the orange strap I have. You can always change strap. Having said that I do find the Charge 6 frustrating for reasons well documented on this forum so might be inclined to go for an alternative brand next time.

Thanks. It's not the band as my Luxe has a silicone band right now. It's the housing - the watch itself. The Inspire just looks like a plastic sport watch and I'm starting to doubt the quality of FitBit products.

I'll have to try the Apple Watch on, I think, as I have TINY wrists - like kid's size - and the Luxe is the right size. Even the 40mm Apple Watch is bigger than the Luxe. And it's pricier. But at least I know I'd be buying something that wouldn't die on me in a year.

Thanks. Yes, that's why I like my Luxe. It has soft gold casing, and looks very nice, even with a silicone band.
What are your major frustrations with the Charge? I think the size and look would be great, I'm just worried about FitBit quality and having it stop working after a year like my Luxe has. My only hesitation with the Apple Watch (I love Apple products) is the size as I have kid-size wrists, and the Luxe (smaller than Apple Watch) is perfect for me. I guess I have to try the Apple Watch on and see if it looks hideous on me.
