If you change devices but keep the same Fitbit account, all your data will still be there, nothing to transfer.  The data is associated with your account, not with your tracker.   You can switch trackers as often as you like as long as you do it with the same email/password.

@21ciel   The Charge 6 requires a Google account.  If you current account is still a Fitbit account, migrate to a Google account before trying to set up your Charge 6.  Do not set up a new Google account.  You cannot merge two accounts.

You account is your account.  I've had over 10 different models on the same account.

Thank you. Because I had already set up my new device in google I could
not migrate my Fitbit account to that google account. I did have to
create a new google account, migrate my Fitbit account and then added the
new device. All good now.
