Hello @Superally9
There's currently an issue on the Fitbit side where users are reporting that they no longer can see some of their historical data in the Fitbit app. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on fixing the problem.
As best as I can tell, there isn't a loss of data. It seems to me that there's a syncing issue between the user data on the Fitbit servers and the Fitbit app.
At this point, there isn't any troubleshooting we can recommend since the issue is on the Fitbit side.

Thank you for replying. It looks like it’s not affecting everyone as my wife hasn’t lost any steps on her historical monthly data. Every day I update, different numbers appear on my historical monthly data.
Do you know if there’s a timescale to fix this problem? Thanks again.
Hi
Did your steps magically reappear?
I have lost a lot of steps form the last 4-5 months at least. A total of eighty to a hundred thousand steps gone. I had them November 1st. Gone now.
Hi Terje203
My steps haven’t returned. I’ve lost over 1 million for this year. Every time I update the number of steps per month changes. So frustrating and don’t know how to get it resolved.
This happened to me back in October, and it corrected itself after a some random amount of phone/watch restarts + uninstall/reinstalls etc.
It's now happening again but I am having no luck fixing it.
I have averaged 37k steps every single day since Jan 1 2024, or a total of almost 12 million at the time of this post, but now my history shows only 3.7million steps for the year. Beyond frustrating...
This is really annoying, I’ve totally lost confidence in Fitbit.
Nothing at all yet. So annoying.
Nobody seems to know what’s happened or how to fix it. Totally lost confidence in Fitbit.

Hello @Vij007
I haven't seen any updates on the fix yet.

Losing step count data can be frustrating, especially if you're tracking progress or working towards fitness goals. To recover lost data, check the source of the issue, such as device sync issues, app updates or bugs, account issues, and backup settings. Most fitness apps back up data to the cloud, so log into the web version of the app or the cloud service associated with it to see if your historical data is stored there. If you've previously exported your data, check your email or file storage for backups and import the data back into the app if supported. If you've linked your fitness tracker or app to third-party services, check for synced data. If steps are still missing, contact Customer Support and provide details like the time frame for the missing data, account information, and recent changes. To prevent future data loss, regular syncing, backup data, and monitoring app updates are recommended.
Best AnswerI just had a long chat with Fitbit support and they are saying "apologies" ...we lost the data go take a hike...(so that they can lose the step count again)....Really sad that such a large company like google is having these basic issues,,,
All i have now is the "sleep" tab showing. I dont sleep with this on! I just want my steps listed. Thank you google for messing this up. Not happy... 😡
