Manual enter exercise

How do you enter a run without altering steps?

The fitbit recorded the steps but not the run under excerise.

Thanks for stopping by @ladyknight1989, I hope you're doing well.

Let me help you to log an activity.

If you know the distance covered by your run and the activity wasn't detected automatically, manually log the exercise. To do so :

  • From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the + icon in the lower right Activity.
  • Tap a recent activity, or search for an exercise type.
  • Enter the activity details, and tap Add or Save.

But that will add additional steps. It's recording the steps, just doesn't
show a run.

Hi @ladyknight1989, thank you for the clarification.

Then what you may need is to ensure your activity is being detected automatically.

Take a look at the criteria needed for your device to automatically detect activities with the help of our help article How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device? below the section Which activities does my Fitbit device track automatically? > Manage automatically tracked activities through SmartTrack
