Moving to Google

My current Fitbit account uses my Yahoo email.  I originally used my Google account to set up my daughter’s device.  she no longer has Fitbit, but I can’t seem to transition my account to the Gmail account because I used it for her.  any advice?

Hi @BaselLimburg, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the migration of your Fitbit account to Google.

Since you are allowed to use only one Fitbit account with your gmail account, one solution might be to delete the current Fitbit account linked to your Gmail account. Your data will be permanently deleted after 7 days and you'll need to migrate before February 2nd. For reference see How do I delete my Fitbit account and service?

Once this account is unlinked from your Google account, you'll be able to link your Fitbit account.

Another solution may be to create a new Google account. They are free. For reference see Create a Google Account

Thank you!

I did this:

To delete your child’s Fitbit account:

  1. Tap the You tab BaselLimburg_0-1768220638211.png

    .
  2. Tap Family.
  3. Under your child's name BaselLimburg_1-1768220638190.png

    Delete Profile.
  4. Confirm you want to delete the account.
  5. When prompted, enter your password.
  6. Tap the link in the email you receive to request to have the account deleted. Note that the email is sent to the guardian who deleted the account.

I think maybe the problem is I didn’t get that email!? I don’t see the account listed anymore. I’m not sure where to go from here?
