Until recently, I was a fitbit charge 4 user but had to change (2nd time bracelet attachment broken) and took the charge 6. Not only, it doesn't count the number of floors anymore but it keeps switching off and impossible to switch it on immediately again (although there is more than 25% battery left).
I'm really disappointed by this new charge, which should be a better version.

Hi @Inge71 the Charge 6 can't recognize altitude as it lacks the altimeter your Charge 4 had.

Same here - had no issues with my Charge 4. Had to buy Charge6 as strap broke news year eve. Took 4 weeks for the charge6 to arrive and has never synced correctly. Fitbit sent a replacement, same issue. Husband created a new account on his phone to test and same, both new charge6 do not auto sync. have to manully sync everyday. Had 4 months of this and actually just want a refund ! (Also miss the weather that the Charge4 had, floors was wildly inaccurate for me)

Yes, but one could expect to have at least the same capabilities for a newer/better version...

I had the same problem with my 4 and it took forever to get the 6. The first one did not work at all. After about 6 weeks I finally received a replacement. It tracks and then does not track.the battery does not last ….. maybe 2 days. I am so disappointed and frustrated.

It is basically the same as Charge 5. The Charge 4 was ok at the time but you couldn't even read the display out in the daylight.
Floors was alright but I've long forgotten about that, also check the GPS and display settings for battery life.
Anyway just get a replacement device, maybe yours was faulty.

I did get a replacement and it has exactly the same issues! From reading the comments on here it seems to be an iOS issue that Fitbit is not trying to fix.

I guess this could apply to many fitbit charge 6 commenters theirs may be faulity. It may be someone does not have another 140 to buy another with and even if they do they may just sell another lemon. I suppose if someone was in the states they could ask the retailer for another one. Here in the UK unless you bought online then its not so easy. Some of the shops that fitbit sell to will offer refunds/replacements. I bought mine through a shop called currys that not very open to refunds. I recall watching on CNBC how VW had to buy back their cars with defective emissions controls in the USA. In the UK there was no such offer. These poor quality products may be designed for the US market where can return on a whim the more world class quality products like Huawei and Apple are designed for non return markets. In the US you may pay 140 for a years worth of fitbits here in the UK just one which may last a couple of months. Apple and Huawei sell you a years worth with 1 fitbit you may need a six pack to get a years worth. So generally people will not be so easy about getting another device here.
