New Fitbit Charge 6

ANSWERED

Hi everyone! Got my new Fitbit Charge 6 yesterday after using Alta HR for quite a long time. I just wanted to know about two things:

  1. The SpO2 section in the 'Heath Metrics' section of the Fitbit App shows " "Install the SpO2 app". However, I am unable to install the app. In the app section of the app, it shows an SpO2 app installed.
  2. While setting Always-On Display on the band, any watch faces other than the 'Fast Lane' gets distorted with red / orange colored boundary lines.

I just wanted to know if these issues are specific to the product I have received or these are general issues. In case these are generic issues, will they get resolved someday with firmware update? After setting up the band I had received a software update for the band.

Hello @Pranabesh

There's currently an issue with the SpO2 function for some Fitbit users. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on fixing the problem. However, we haven't seen a timeline for the fix.

I haven't seen those issues on my Charge 6, but I'm just one user so my experience isn't reflective of potentially larger issues.  Generally, Google doesn't announce when updates are coming out until closer to the release date, and even then, it's a progressive rollout, so not everyone will get it at once.  Finally, they also generally don't announce what specifically is being fixed until an official annoucement is made.

Thank you! I guess my Charge 6 isn't faulty then. Let us hope this issue is fixed in future.
