Notifications without vibration for some apps?

ANSWERED

Is it possible to set some notifications to vibrate ( especially Reminders to move, Calendar, Calls and Messages) and others not (especially Gmail) on Charge 6 with the new app? I was somehow able to do it on Charge 4 with the old app but now I cannot find the settings. I liked the ability to check my mail on the watch without the constant buzzing every time a mail arrives. Also why do the mail notifications sometimes vibrate even during sleep?

Update: I found it!!?

All it takes is disabling the "always vibrate" option and the Gmail notifications become silent.

With my Charge 6, I had to set up the vibrations and notifications (per app) on my phone (a Pixel device). Open the Fitbit app, click the button that shows a linkage to a linked device, and then choose the Fitbit Charge 6. Under the General section, there is an entry for Notifications. In that section, there are some "defaults." That is where you can toggle off Gmail notifications (under Emails).

Then, back to the Notifications window, there is an entry called "App Notifications". That is where you can set the per-app notifications you want.

Lastly, there is an Advanced Settings where you can toggle off the wish to notify, despite your phone's "Do Not Disturb" or "Silent Mode" settings.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, but I do not see an option to set the vibrations per app. What I need are silent notifications for Gmail and vibrating notifications for Calendar. It used to work on my Charge 4 until the very last moment, but I have set it up on the old app.  This was one of the reasons I stayed with Fitbit after my old device broke - as someone who often receives 20+ work- related mails per day, I really liked the possibility to check mail headers on my watch without having to pull out my phone. I hope it is not gone with the new app!

I have "Always vibrate" disabled already, but my Charge 6 still vibrates for every email or text message (WhatsApp) I receive.

I'd really appreciate the option to disable vibration for specific types of notifications (e.g. text messages) while still being able to review them in the Notifications app on the watch and avoid getting my phone out of my pocket. Other types (e.g. calendar notifications) should still be able to vibrate the watch.

As far as I can tell this isn't possible today, but I guess that's what this feature suggestion is getting at so may be worth voting on it: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Product-Feedback/Option-to-turn-off-vibration-when-receiving-notific...

That is strange. I somehow managed to set up my Charge 4 so that only calls,  SMS and WhatsApp notifications vibrate but emails do not, which is what I wished, and these settings successfully transferred to the Charge 6. Mails are still giving me silent notifications on the watch. While I do not recall exactly how I did it, I think it may have been via the respective applications, not the Fitbit app, because the apps that vibrate are also those that are giving a sound/ vibrate notifications on the phone itself. So, I would check the app notification settings in the individual apps on the phone.
