Over 12,000,000 streps today

My Fitbit sense6 has recorded over 12,000,000 steps for today and all of them at 5 mins past midnight!

I have had this for 2 days now and already regretting getting it.

anyone know what I can do? I have reset watch 3 times, deleted the App and reinstalled it and tried to delete the incorrect data. Would love to know how to sort this

Not an official recommendation, but if you have your phone connected as a fitbit device, I suggest removing it and seeing if that helps.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

You could well be correct. I did this yesterday as well as deleting data.  This morning, all seems well 👍

I personally think that is the source of most of the problems of users getting outrageous numbers of steps added, particularly right after midnight.  I don't think know if many are even aware they have phones added as fitbit devices.

Hi @Berniethebolt. A warm welcome to the forums.

Thank you for providing helpful information and help @JohnnyRow

This service allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit.  Steps counted by Mobile Track using your phone will be uploaded to your Fitbit dashboard. It is possible that you set it up unwittingly. Here is the help article that explains it better than me.

As soon as I saw the "add your phone as a Fitbit device" I knew it was a recipe for disaster.
