So I updated my Charge 6 this morning (on Android) now the repeating alarms are showing grey with a cross and the only way I can have them on is to have a 1 time alarm any ideas?
I've restarted the watch uninstalled the app on my phone and check DND and sleep mode and neither are on.

Tried syncing mine and restarting it, haven’t been issued an update of any kind yet… alarm still only works on single day, not recurring.

It is still greyed out. There is no update available on the watch. How are you reporting this as resolved?

Agreed. I'm still turning the alarm on daily

I restarted my watch and checked for new updates (none available). I deleted old alarms and tried to set new recurring ones. It is still greyed out as of Aug 12.

I assume this is the update but it seems to still be rolling out in waves. Would be nice if the mod could at least provide a timeline of when the rollout spans.
The Fitbit Charge 6 update released on July 28, 2025, is version 220.21. This update introduced new clock faces (Axira, Geometric, and Momentum), improved connectivity with fitness equipment, and bug fixes for the Charge 6, Inspire 3, Sense 2, and Versa 4.

Hi Africa, where did you get this notice of release and I’m assuming either there was no link or their chat system nulled it out?

Africk, thanks for the link. Unfortunately. The update icon isn’t showing up so it may not be available to me yet?

I'm having the same issue! Gray X and nothing I've tried works!

Same problem. Tied all the resets and still a problem. Also, performed the most recent firmware upgrade. Please fix! Thanks.

Dave, recognizing that you don’t have control of this, when is there going to be a full rollout of the update? I still have not been notified.

If nobody has posted this yet…
In the Fitbit app on your phone, delete and reinstall the alarms app. My recurring alarms are working again.

Just tried deleting and reinstalling the alarms app. Still not working, still got the grey clock of death when setting recurring alarms…

I don't think the problem has been fixed. I have that gray x just like everyone else is describing. I have turned off my phone. I've turned off my watch. I have done all the resets. I've even reinstalled my Fitbit and it's still doing it. What should I do now?

It appears as if the alarm works anyway, even with the grey ‘X’. My 6.30am recurring alarm shows grey, but I woke up at 2am to check and it was yellow.
It looks like the app checks once the clock strikes midnight and changes to yellow if there is a recurring alarm for that day. I assume most of us have alarms set for the morning, so we don’t see them as ‘active’ the night before when we go to bed, unless you go to bed after midnight.
Very odd coding from fitbit if my experience is replicated to others!

This seems to have worked! Thanks! I find it to be risky to see that it has a Grey X and assume it is going to work!
