RowHouse C2 rower not connecting HR

I joined RowHouse fitness this year and wanted to connect a HR monitor to the concept C2 rower.  I have been using a Fitbit Luxe and decided to upgrade to a charge 6 because Fitbit said it was compatible with this rower.  However, after several tries before the start of a class I can’t get my Charge 6 to show my heart rate.  The Concept C2 recognizes the Charge 6 but once I confirm, I never get a message on my Fitbit to share the data. Can anyone help?  I’m really disappointed with the charge 6 for this reason alone.
