SpO2 will only be displayed under you Sleep Stats page. Under Health metrics, for today, it shows the app must be installed.

But when I open the Sleep states I see this

Taping the tile takes me to the next page. With the SpO2 details

I noticed my app was having an issue syncing. Restarted watch and immediately the app synced. I'm thinking, SpO2 is only recorded during sleep. So I looked at various past sleep recordings. It looks like when fitbit records simple sleep, or was unable to detect the SpO2, we get the - App install message - but as you see above SpO2 was recorded! This doesn't explain why I get SpO2 readings for today in one spot, and not for today in another spot.

Otherwise I get.

Hi @DQuirke. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for providing the information regarding the difficulty that you are experiencing with your Charge 6.

Make sure your device is running the latest version of the firmware. For more information on updating your tracker, see How do I update my Fitbit device?

Please, try to reinstall the SpO2 app with the Fitbit app on your phone:

  1. With your Fitbit device nearby, in the Fitbit app on the Today tab > upper left corner > your device image.
  2. Tap Gallery > Apps tab.
  3. In the list of apps, tap SpO2 > Install > Install.

You should be able to see your SpO2 trends in the Health Metrics tile in the Fitbit app on your phone. To get SpO2 information, you need to:

  1. Wear your device for at least a full day, including to sleep at night.
  2. In the morning, open the Fitbit app and tap the Health Metrics tile.
  3. Swipe up to find the Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) tile.

If you still don't receive your SpO2 information, please follow the steps listed here below:

  1. Verify if your Fitbit profile has the correct location and time zone.
  2. Open the Fitbit app, tap the upper left corner icon > Charge 6 > Apps > SpO2.
  3. Make sure all the permissions are enabled.
  4. Restart your tracker to refresh its performance.
  5. Tap Today at the bottom of the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  6. Wear your tracker slightly higher on your wrist to sleep and sync it with the Fitbit app once you're awake to check your details.

On my Health Metrics for SpO2 it says “ App Install needed”

the SpO2 is installed. I have uninstalled and installed it a few times. Restarted my phone and watch. Updated the sync.. and it continues to say “app install needed”

What else can i do?

Hi ManuFitbit, Thank you for your reply. I am an expeirenced fitbit app user for many years. I have tried all of your recommmednatsion many times. The simple fact remains that SP02  has not been available on my Charge6 since last software update 24 April 2025. There are a number of similar discussion threads on his forum and all indicate that latest firmware update has removed support for SPO2. Please can you ask Fitbit development team to investigate. Thanks

Hi

Thank you I looked at this and yes it was there saying low! Thank you!

I don't like the new way of checking sleep so don't tend to look in that tile often the old way was better 🤣

Hopefully it all will sort itself out 🤞
