A new and irritating bug appeared the last day or so... I set my FitBit Charge 6 Screen Wake = MANUAL... it is all good and well for about 10minutes and then resets to Screen Wake = AUTO.
Tried all things, changed the Face to the default one, reset the FitBit, enabled/disabled sleep mode, and some other settings... each time, reset from Screen Wake Manual to Auto.
I realised, EACH time the Mobile APP syncs, the Screen Wake setting is reverted to "Auto".
FitBit App is latest, I also reset the phone - (not yet gone so far as to fix Google's mess and uninstall/reinstall the FitBit App)
Suggestions - other than to reinstall the app
Charge 6 (Firmware 220.31)
FitBit App (Android, v4.61.1)

I have just noticed this too after playing around with the app and the watch. Every time the watch syncs with the app it resets back to auto wake.

I wish I could lock auto wake off permanently, because I occasionally have it turn on due to bumping it. With this update bug, I was sure I was bumping it WAY more than usual, and was so confused and angry.
Any chance when they fix this that they add a way to prevent just bumping the device from turning it on?

will I've got round it by turning on night mode. I never use the clock as a watch, and if I double tap it still shows the time, otherwise everything else is turned off. doesn't seem to affect it's basic monitoring functions though.
I'm just surprised that such a basic bug got through, getting as bad as m$😱

I'm glad this is being worked on because it's been driving me insane since I noticed it happening yesterday afternoon. I did all of the troubleshooting, from syncing, restarting devices, Bluetooth, cleaning the entire watch and it still kept changing my settings from the pulldown menu and within the settings "display" features for "brightness & button" selections.

I have the same problem with my Inspire's Screen Wake setting. My solution has been to turn off the Bluetooth on my android phone. So far, the setting has not reverted to ON.

Hello, the display on my Sense 2 won*t stay in the "only button" mode. It switches by itself into the "button and hand movement" mode, which is especially annoying at night when the display suddenly flashes in the darkness. It also affects the battery I guess. Has anyone expereinced the same issue and even knows how to fix it? Thanx 🙂

Same issue here. I have restarted my phone and my Sense 2 - didn't work. I have done a factory reset of my Sense 2 - didn't work. The 'Only Button' seems to stay set briefly (couple of seconds maybe?) Not sure when this started (seems recently), but annoying as it is affecting the battery.

Edit- not sure why this reply was moved to this thread from its original response under "Re: Versa 4 - Button wake keeps turning off" but as I understand it, multiple devices are having this issue. Still, my response was in regards to the Versa 4 model, specifically.
** SHORT-TERM FIX FOR THIS** turning off Bluetooth on your phone will stop this glitch from continuing to happen until the error has been fixed on the software side of things.
I turned off my phone Bluetooth after I made my first reply comment 3 hours ago, and since then my watch has not changed the settings at all for the "Screen Wake".
This seems to be related only to the Bluetooth Sync function and whenever the watch syncs with the phone Bluetooth device/app.
