A new and irritating bug appeared the last day or so... I set my FitBit Charge 6 Screen Wake = MANUAL... it is all good and well for about 10minutes and then resets to Screen Wake = AUTO.
Tried all things, changed the Face to the default one, reset the FitBit, enabled/disabled sleep mode, and some other settings... each time, reset from Screen Wake Manual to Auto.
I realised, EACH time the Mobile APP syncs, the Screen Wake setting is reverted to "Auto".
FitBit App is latest, I also reset the phone - (not yet gone so far as to fix Google's mess and uninstall/reinstall the FitBit App)
Suggestions - other than to reinstall the app
Charge 6 (Firmware 220.31)
FitBit App (Android, v4.61.1)

Same issue, seems to have just started sometime in the last 48 hours. I always keep "screen wake" on button only mode and have never had any issues until the last 48 hours. Now, whenever I turn it to button only it stays that way for maybe an hour or so before always turning itself back to button & motion. I have tried updating the setting both in the app and on the watch itself and it continues to change itself.
I did a soft reset as well as a hard reset, disconnect, and reinstall of Fitbit app to no avail.
Glad its not just me, hoping there is a fix that comes out very soon
So it's not just me! It wakes me up at night, shining in my face. Ready to throw it across the room!
There's two screen wake settings on the sense 2: motion and button only. I like having mine set to only wake when i press the button. However, my sense 2 persistently reverts back to the default motion wake
Any ideas?
I normally keep mine on auto, but changed it to see what would happen. It is happening to me, too. There is something very weird about this. There are posts about this in all four current model forums. I can't explain it.
@alonglet Fitbit hasn't acknowledged this as an issue. I will flag this for escalation.
EDIT: My post got moved to the Charge 6 forum (not sure why, I don't use one). But I see that a moderator acknowledged the issue.

I have the same issue:
I set Screen Wake → Manual, but the device always switches itself back to Auto.
It doesn’t matter whether I change it on the tracker or in the app — after a sync, a Bluetooth reconnect, or sometimes just randomly, it silently reverts to Auto again.
Best AnswerMy Versa has randomly started turning off “button only” on screen wake. I have to keep turning it back on as I notice my screen coming on when I turn my wrist. I have unpaired and repaired. I’ve done a restart. I’ve turned blue tooth on and off again. Nothing works.
Best AnswerI have an inspire 3 and have been following a thread concerning the inspire 3 auto wake problem specifically; it has been somehow moved to this charge 3 forum as well. Seems to be a similar issue, although it's not the same device.

Autowake function keeps turning back on, even after a reset and manually turning it off multiple times. Battery life has gone way down as a result. Need a fix soon. I rely on this as a heart monitor
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
Best AnswerI was just coming here to see if anyone else was having the same problem! Its so frustrating. There was an app update that I've done and restarted the device and it still just turned auto wake back on.
Best AnswerUsers of all four current models are seeing this. Fitbit is aware.

Best AnswerWhen I sync with the Fitbit app, the settings change on my watch. This happens with the screen brightness as well as the screen wake setting.
There does not seem to be a firmware update, I have restarted both watch and phone.
Best AnswerYes that is it
Best Answer@LZeeW Several of my posts were also moved to the Charge 6 forum. Looks like they moved any post mentioning the Screen Wake issue to here. I think when they moved my post, it removed any labels I had attached to my post.
I think that since there are so many different devices with this bug, it is probably an app update that is causing the issue. Since I could not find out how to turn off the auto-sync in my android app, I found that if I turn off the Bluetooth, the Screen Wake setting does not change.
I want screen wake to be button push NOT motion and I have to change it back multiple times throughout the day since the recent update.
Please fix this. It's messing with the battery life.
Same! I wish I could permanently turn off the auto wave setting. So freaking annoying. With the glitch now where it keeps turning itself on all the time, I can barely take it.
