Sleep data has to be synced manually

So my charge 6 is supposed to automatically sync data when in Bluetooth range, and it does, but this doesn't seem to be true for sleep. To see my sleep data each morning I need to manually trigger a sync so it becomes visible. This makes me unable to use Google assistant routines to report my sleep data each morning as I turn off my alarm, which is a shame.

Is this intended behaviour?

I can see the benefit of not syncing through the night, to save battery, but it would make sense for a sync to trigger when the sleep period I have set in the app is over (I have my sleep set to end a couple of minutes before my alarm).

Are you saying that your sleep data isn't showing in the fitbit or on the Charge 6?

Since we are on the Charge 6 board. Currently there is an issue with showing the sleep data on the trackers.
