SpO2 missing on Charge 6

In reviewing all the fitness watches i decided on the Charge 6 because of the SP 02. I'm so disappointed, the SP 02 does not work on my Charge 6. I've followed all instruction and recommendations to make it work to no avail. I've read other posts saying theirs doesn't work either.  You know, as far as I'm concerned, your advertising info is false advertising. The main reason i bouggt this is because of tge SP 02. I've been ripped off. Not happy.

I totally agree. I have been a Fitbit wearer for at least 7/8 years and upgraded to Charge 6 for the extra features promised. Nothing works properly. Have spent half a day going backwards and forwards trying to get SPo2 app but it is absolutely useless. Other features don’t work correctly, even the dimple on that allows the watch to display when you flick or raise your wrist - it’s just stuck and won’t change to Auto. So annoyed with this watch!

Update: Before i made my original post i had to logon to Google because i'm running fitbit through Google. Now my SP 02 is working. Apparently if you don't open your fitbit and log it on in Google it won't work. I didn't know i had to do that.

The other issue i do have is, i can't get it to be auto when i flick my wrist to see time. I have to tap screen numerous times to show time. Any suggestions.

Hi,
I have the same issue with the wrist flick not working. It is very annoying
as the same thing happened with my Luxe which was another reason for
upgrading to the Charge 6. Not sure I get what you’re saying about the
Google log in, as I thought that was the way I was logged in! Who knows
what other things aren’t working - my notifications and YouTube music won’t
work either! It’s a wonder my heart rate isn’t off the scale 😂😂😖!

Hello @traciewilson56 ,

Thanks for letting us know that you were able to get your SpO2 reading.

Hello @LizHDublin

Other users have reported an issue with their SpO2 reading and a Moderator confirmed in this thread (<-- click) that there is a problem for some users. The Moderator's post said that the issue was reported to the team and they are working on a fix. However, there wasn't a timeline mentioned for the fix. You might want to post/follow that thread since the Moderator will post updates there.

My apologies if you've already reviewed this information. This help page (<-- click) has the steps to get notifications from your phone to your Fitbit.

As for YouTube Music, you need to have a YouTube Music premium subscription to get it to work.

Regarding the issue that you both have with the display not turning on when you turn your wrist, do you have Auto enabled on your Charge 6? What troubleshooting have you tried so far?

Hi

Thanks for the response.

I was not aware that you needed to subscribe to Premium for YouTube Music,
so that solves that one! Not really worried about that.
I notice in all the YouTube instructional or review videos, the app that I
have (despite my updating to what should be the latest version) is quite
different and does not have the page with gallery or all the other
functions showing up with colourful icons etc.
Re the flick wrist function, it will not switch from manual to auto,
regardless of all my best efforts.
As I have switched from Luxe to a Charge 6, I am wondering if I really need
to delete my old account entirely, delete the app etc. and just start from
scratch. But this is a big step and I am nervous of trying it!

@LizHDublin , on your Charge 6 from the clock face screen swipe down to find the Auto Wake settings.  Make sure that the button is toggled to ON.

Hi @LizHDublin

I don't think you should delete your account. Just to confirm, when you switched from the Luxe to the Charge 6, you migrated your Fitbit account to your Google account when you set up your Charge 6. If that's correct, all your historical data should be in the app.

The look of the device page in the Fitbit app has changed since those YouTube videos were made. You should still see a tile/button for Gallery & clock faces. The page should also have Notifications, where you can set up the notifications that you want to get from your phone to your Fitbit. If you still don't see it, then it might be worth trying uninstalling & re-installing the Fitbit app, but not delete your data.

  • Do a manual sync and log out of the Fitbit app on your mobile device. This will upload your recently tracked data to your account on the Fitbit servers.
  • Uninstall the app
  • Re-install the app
  • Log back into the Fitbit app. You should see your data back in the app.

After you do this, you likely have to wait until tomorrow morning to see if your SpO2 score returns.

Have you tried restarting your Charge 6 to see if you can change the Auto Wake settings?

Thanks for all your advice. I have tried absolutely everything at this
stage including all you suggest. I will try it again with fingers crossed!
My historical data seems to be all there, so that at least is something.

Sorry, have done that more than several times, but it will not change to
auto! It is not lit up if that explains it.
