Devices stopped syncing two days ago and my Charge 6 showed that it wasn’t connected to my iPhone. I waited to see if it corrected itself. When it didn’t, today I disconnected via Bluetooth settings and reconnected to no avail. I went to reset Fitbit and had a blank screen and my battery had been completely discharged. I just charged it yesterday and have never had a battery issue. Once I charged it, I was able to pair with my phone, but lost most of yesterday’s data (but not all) and some of today’s. It is incrementing steps correctly now. This problem coincided with a Fitbit update (to v. 4.49) I did on my iPhone yesterday, which could have been a coincidence… I stay current on my updates, so it couldn’t have been a big jump.

Sorry to hear that @ratbert. you said that you removed the Charge 6 from your phones Bluetooth. The next time you open the Fitbit app, you should be promoted to give permission for the app to pair the Charge 6. You should not have to pair the Charge 6. (Pairing has to be done through the Fitbit app.
If you removed the Charge 6 from your Fitbit app/account, you had to us the Add Device, and set the tracker up as if it is a new tracker. Yes Fitbit does clear past data on the tracker.
If you had not removed the Charge 6 from the Fitbit app/account. Doing an add device, Fitbit sees that it is the same tracker and usually sync past data.
