Third Party Straps

I see that a LOT of folks have had issues with third party straps.  Count me among that group. I cannot find any band that will stay attached except from Fitbit.  Has anyone bought any strap other than from FitBit that will stay attached to the Charge 6?  Please Please Please tell us what you bought and where.  Also,  if you bought band adapters from ebay or Ali, which vendor did you use, if you got bands that worked?  This is so frustrating, if Fitbit would just sell the band adapters for the charge 6 it would be so great.

I have had the same experience. My old charge 5 quit working so I replaced it with a charge 6. I tried to use my old 3rd party band and it would not stay on. I thought it was worn out so I bought a new one but it won’t stay on either.  25 dollars later I have to put on this ugly black rubber band. I’m very disappointed. I’ve been using these since charge 2

@TráBach @we3bears One thing I tried a while ago that works for me with my 3rd-party straps (that I originally bought for the Charge 5) was to push the release tab the opposite way (towards the unit) that you do to release it. So - holding the end of the strap in place, I pulled the release tab toward the center of the 'pebble' and it clicked, staying in place. I only have to do this on the top connection, oddly. Annoying, but it's habit now.

Not sure if this will help y'all, but thought I'd pass along a tip that's worked for me.

I have solved the problem with at least the metal mesh band. Look up my post from a couple of days ago.

I'm going to give that a try Jacek, thank you.

I have a set of elastic straps that I originally bought from Amazon for my Charge 5 that work well.  They went right on easily and haven't come off without me trying to take them off.  I commute to and from work on a motorcycle and I don't worry that the strap will come undone.

Thanks Jack.  I'll have a look at elastic bands on Amazon!

These are the bands I use. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QS2VZ6Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
The elastic does wear out over time but at $10 for 3 it's not a huge expense.  I'm on my 4th band in about 3 years (started with them on my Charge 5).
