Weather app causing install loop on Fitbit Charge 6

I went to install a fitbit weather app and now the charge 6 screen keeps giving me a loading screen & then gives me a big green checkmark and says update complete. Then it's back to the loading screen and update complete.

I've already connected it to the charger to soft reset, then after it reset it, it continues to try to install the app. This is making the charge 6 un-useable

I've removed the charge 6 from my account and re-added it. The weather app is still trying to install. It's been given all the required permissions. There is no uninstall option to remove the weather app from trying to install.

I'm not sure how you were able to see the Fitbit weather app for your Charge 6. Based on what I've read, the Fitbit weather app is not currently available on the Charge 6. This is likely why you're having a problem. 

You probably need to uninstall the Fitbit app and re-install it. Hopefully, that will interrupt the installation of the weather app so you can use your Charge 6.

Strange. I chose Uninstall for google maps and then the weather app installed successfully. I'm not sure how i was able to see it either. I think it opened in my mobile browser and that opened the weather app in the fitbit app or something. The weather app *works* though

Did you receive a message on your smarphone that at least one app could not be dowloaded/updated? Or was it just that loop directly on the Charge 6? Based on your latest post, it seems that the loop has stopped? I am glad you can use your Fitbit Charge 6. In case you encounter yourself in the same loop or similar, I suggest you restart your device according to the instructions in this article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?. Thanks again!

On my charge 6, I do not have a weather app to select ? 

I might try what you did, uninstalling your map app and see if the weather app appears

@Luigi6 Welcome to the forums! Thanks for your post regarding the weather app on the Chage 6. This app is not available for the Fitbit Charge 6. That is the reason you cannot find it nor install it. 

@fade2green514 Does the weather app still work on your Fitbit Charge 6? Would you be so kind to send me a picture of the app installed on the device? Thanks in advance.

I am honestly not sure if this app will be back. There is no information about it. I suggest you post this as a recommendation. The best place to make your voice heard is the "Product Feedback" board, where you can submit your ideas and share it with other members. The suggestions with more votes are taken into consideration by our developers for new updates or product development.
