I just bought a new Charge 6 after my Charge 5 died. Zone minutes don't seem to be calculating correctly. I took a 56 minutes walk Light - 39, Moderate - 9, Vigorous - 6, Peak -2. I believe I should get one minute for moderate, two minutes for Vigorous and Peak so should be 25? It is just adding all three zones at the same rate for a total of 17? Screen shots below...any guidance?
BTW, my heart rate seems to be down by 5-10 BPM with the charge 6 as well...as you can see from the graph, that 5-10 BPM is the difference between 0 AZM and Moderate which would count as AZM....

Hello @FCD
I'm seeing the similar values when I check my recent workouts. Instead of the number of Active Zone Minutes, it looks like that value is now the total number of minutes that qualify for AZM.
I checked the AZM graph for the day that I did my workout and see the total of AZM for my workout, which includes 2x for peak & intense.
Tap on the AZM tile on the Today page and look for your workout. If it's like mine, it should show 25 AZM for your workout.
Regarding heart rate tracking, the Charge 6 is reported to be 60% more accurate for tracking heart rate during workouts according to Fitbit's Charge 6 description page (<-- click link). This is likely why you're seeing a discrepancy between the Charge 5 & 6.

@RiekoC thank you for your reply. I assume somewhere along the way there may be a fix for the discrepancy on the workout vs. AZM minutes...the AZM minutes does seem to calculate correctly and I get "the credit" on the actual graph and tracker. It's just a bummer to see my Zone Minutes drop so dramatically, very discouraging.

Hello @FCD
I'll see if I can find out any info about the change in exercise AZM calculation and will report back if I learn anything.
Have you had a chance to check your heart rate against a different device, like a pulse oximeter, or by doing a manual check? It might be worth seeing if your Charge 6 is tracking your heart rate correctly.

Hi @RiekoC , thanks for following up. I informally checked my BPM just on the treadmill I use and it split the difference...a little higher than the FitBit but not nearly as high as it was recording on the Charge 5. I will try a couple different machines and see how close they are to the Charge 6. I also file an enhancement to expose just the old Active Minutes. I realize some folks love the AZM. I would just as soon track the active minutes. To be honest, if I just work out at my gym for 90 minutes, I would like to track it as 90. I realize some days I may not be working as hard as others, but that is still better than not being at the gym. The Charge 2/5/6 (I've had 4 in total) tracker incents me to get there, regardless if I kill it or take it easy...
Thanks for your attention and will report back in a few days...

Hello @FCD
Thanks for your update. I'll be watching for your next report to see how the Charge 6's heart rate tracking compares to other machines.

@RiekoC , thanks for your attention to this. The Charge 6 seems to record BPM similar to some of the machines I use so I will assume it's accurate. I'm still a bit perplexed with the Zone minutes though...I take the same walk through my downtown area every night and my Zone minutes have fluctuated wildly, tonight I had 4 AZM, two nights ago it was 40? If I walk at night, I get some AZM, during the day it tracks 0? I think I may just ignore AZM for the time being, steps, distance and sleep is what I typically track but do miss just the old standard active minutes.
Thank you for your time and attentiveness to my questions/concerns...

Hello @FCD
The AZM issue you're experiencing has got me perplexed as well, especially since you've confirmed your Charge 6 heart rate tracking is similar to other machines.
It does seem like a good plan to ignore the AZMs for now and focus on steps, distance, & sleep. As long as you have an exercise program that meets the recommended activity times, which is sounds like you do, I think you're doing well managing your healthy lifestyle.
