bpm reading and ECG

hi fellow users,

I got my charge 6 on the 27th Nov and on the 28th it recorded 2x quite abnormal pulses: 190 bpm at 02:25 and 213 at 02:30, while I was asleep. Can I trust these reading, being 34 years old?

I also purchased my device in Switzerland and now ECG cannot be used while on holidays in other EU countries - can the option be activated, based on where the device is purchased?

Thank you and regards,

Tzvetelin

Hello @Tzvetelin

Since we're not medical professionals & don't know your medical history, we can't really advise you about the high heart rate readings you observed. That said, if you were having a nightmare or intense dream session, I could see where that kind of incident would cause a higher heart rate.

When you're traveling with automatic location enabled and go to a country where ECG is currently not supported, the feature won't work as you've discovered. I've read where some users have gotten around this by using a VPN.

This information page on the Fitbit Irregular Rhythm feature (<-- click link) includes a list of the countries where the ECG app is supported, in case this is helpful to you.
