heart rate spikes

My Fitbit charge 5 suddenly showed a couple heart rate spikes but since I had not noticed anything and the fitbit charge 5 died 2 days later, I was not concerned. My fitbit charge 6 then showed a heart rate spike and although I did not notice anything, I thought I should have a check up. Both ECG and Echcarogram were unremarkable. I also realised that so far has only occurred if I wear it on my left wrist and at no time did the charge 6 notify me of a high heart rate. I believe that the watch is fitted correctly and it is not moving even when I am rowing. Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone got any answers about why this is happening and how to stop it. I do not consider wearing it on my right wrist as a long term solution.
Thanks for your help.

Do double check that the sensors on the back of the watch are really clean - no build-up scunge - alcohol swab maybe. Ditto for your wrist. Also assure that the watch is not running low on battery charge. I also might be inclined to try a different wrist band as that might hold it more securely. I would also suggest making sure that a highly salted snack wasn't in the mix... 🙂 Something like miso can sneak up on you!
