I would emphatically second that request. I now own a second Charge 2 that I am unable to use and unable to return.
I used to own a Surge, and when I got the Charge 2, I was happy that I could switch between them. When the Surge eventually died, a friend purchased a second Charge 2 as a gift for me so I could switch between the old one when working outside and the new one when dressing up. It was not until the new unit was unboxed and on the charger that I discovered the app would only allow the existing Charge 2 to be replaced with the new one, and not used in addition to it.
This suggestion feature for allowing multiple devices on one account seems to have been first suggested in 2016, any chance that it will come to be true?
Hi @bpphillips, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to add multiple of same Fitbit model on the same account. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.
I suggest that Fitbit allow more than one device of the same model on one account. You may use one device for everyday use and the other device of the same model for training purposes.

We purchased 6 versa 2 for christmas but we now found out you can only have one on your account. we don't have 6 email accounts so we are now returning the watches.
I totally agree. The same thing has happened us...we purchased 2 Ace 2's, 3 inspire2's and 1 inspire HR...it is so frustrating...now 2 of us have no access to any data and now the 2 ace 2's aren't showing any data ever though I have them as children in the family account. Nowhere was this explained before purchasing the Fitbit's. We are really disappointed with them.

I like two tracking devices so I don't have down time while one is charging. I have an ionic currently and bought a second to use while the first is charging. I have done this with my older fit bits (i.e.) Blaze and the first fit bit tracker.
Hi @Trvr2019, thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to setup multiple Fitbit devices of the same mode in a single Fitbit account with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. Allow people to connect multiple of the same device to the fitbit app. Not everyone wants to wear the same device all the time for all activities. I don't. The point is, why would fitbit want to limit a person buying more of their products for use?

I totally agree with multiple device usage on one account. Actually I was able to have both my Charge 2 and Versa linked to my account which was so convenient. Imagine my surprise when my Charge 2 screen cracked and I purchased new Inspire 2! Now it will not allow both just either or. Who has time to keep un-installing and installing. I use each device for specific times/events. Had I known there was an issue probably would not have upgraded. Are there currently any 2 devices sold that can sync to 1 account?
As I understand the answer is no. I had purchased a second Ionic and found that I also could not not use two fit bit devices. Previously I was able to use my Blaze and and an older fit bit . I would have one charge while using the other and they both would update.
Im with these guys i have sense and ionic and want to utilise both someday i look forward to this implementation in the future i know google knows its stuff and will rock this seen... look forward to seeing whats to come bit mostly hope its this .
I can't believe that you can't use 2 of the SAME devices and that you also can't use 2 devices that use Fitbit Gallery (since all current models use Fitbit Gallery). I originally had a Charge 2 and then I added a Versa 2 - I loved it as I used the Charge 2 for workouts, sleep and weekends and my Versa 2 for work. My Charge 2 eventually died so I purchased another Vera 2. Since I previously had 2 devices (and never had a problem) I "assumed" that I could replace my Charge 2 with another Versa 2. I couldn't believe that I could not have 2 of the same devices - this was actually my preference - to have the same model I was happy with but 1 for workouts and sleep and 1 for work (same charger, interchangeable bands, etc). After I ordered my 2nd Versa and had to return it I looked to add a 2nd device but different model. I was then SHOCKED to learn that you really can't have 2 devices - as all of the new models are Fitbit Gallery so in reality there is NO WAY to have 2 devices on the same account. THIS MAKES NO SENSE!! I'm now looking at other alternatives as I WANT to have 2 devices - this is my preference and I want to find a product that will allow me to have 2 devices that work together to track on 1 account/app. Others have commented that it doesn't make business sense for Fitbit to not allow multiple same devices AND multiple devices on the Fitbit Gallery on the same account. Many people want this - and wouldn't Fitbit want to have MORE sales, encouraging more styles for the same owner vs only 1? This is a huge limitation and is forcing repeat customers to go elsewhere as Fitbit isn't willing to make adjustments for the benefit of their users. I don't want to be limited to 1 device on my account and basically this is what is currently in place due to the restriction of Fitbit Gallery. In today's technology this makes no sense.
I completely agree and find while I'm recharging my Ionic I missing data for either sleep or activities I could be tracking. I feel that Fitbit really has thought this one through.
