Intermittent Fasting tracker

I'd like to suggest a way to track intermittent fasting (similar to the Zero app). I'd love it if I could do this on my Fitbit.

If Fitbit isn't going to implement a fast tracking feature they should at least app the work with an app like Zero.

Clearly, timestamps for when food was eaten is a must for any health tracker. Additional statistics to show the fasting vs eating periods and ability to set and monitor ones target is something Fitbit should have done ages ago. Implementing editable timestamps is easy, please, do it.

Then, you should spice it with stats or at least allow users to use their own data eg to find correlations between fast intervals, sleep quality, heart rate, weight, etc.

Generally, Fitbit has so much statistical data which is pitifully used only to a very limited extent. Do better please, your share price needs it.

Kitesurfer I totally agree with you.

Let me give you a classic example of another issue, where Fitbit's (now Google's) apathy is damaging them.

Scales. I purchased and use RENPRO scales, that link into Fitbit. The scales cost £25 and come with an app, that is brilliant...so why buy and use the Fitbit ones?

Dear Fitbit People,

Getting Zero app linked to Fitbit would work wonders for your market competitiveness.

Please, do a favour both to all your users and lastly to yourself by keeping up with uprising health trends.

Hopefully you're already on it.

Thanks in advance.

I would really appreciate a fasting tracker on the Fitbit dashboard! I use the LIFE app and it would be way more convenient to use the Fitbit app where I already track everything else anyway. Thanks for considering and hopefully implementing!

I think this is an awesome idea! Actually came on here to suggest the same. I’ve been logging “yogi tea, fasting” for my fasts and it’s been a little bit of a pain in the butt. Please make this happen for us!

I the moderator is saying that this suggestion exists already so your suggestion has been moved to the appeopriate.  Thread.  They are not saying that an intermittent fasting feature exists on the fitbit app.

This feature is a must, not just a want, to remain competitive as a fitness tracker. The IF trend  is very strong & having to use multiple apps makes me think very hard about whether my next tracker will be a fitbit.

Please partner with an existing app while in development.

Just buy Zero or some such already.  Blend it into the Fit bit tracker.  There are thousands of us who love  the Fitbit and fast.  It helps to have one stop to track health.  You don’t want your customers spending more time with another by app.  You’ll just get jealous.    Come on already.

YES! I am contemplating using the SIMPLE IF app. It would be nice if it worked with my Inspire HR.

This would be great.  Right now I use Simple app and it works with Fitbit to track water, weight (I have a Fitbit scale) and activity. But it would be incredible to just use one app for all.
