I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When?? Please make this your next release!!!!!
Would like to be able to wear a Fitbit while swimming and get heart rate. Presently have charge hr but half my exercise is in pool and it's frustrating lot to get heart rate.
I just recently upgraded to the Charge 2 from the Charge HR. While I am happy to have the better build quality, larger display and all day heart rate monitoring but kind of disappointed to not have a full IP68 device in the Charge 2. This is something most too end handset manufacturers are offering and I would have appreciated it on my new Fitbit. Please add waterproofing to the next generation while keeping the same low profile
I am in the same place. I love the Fitbit app and you would think for the price of the charge 2 it could be able to handle swimming. I have a charge hr and even though it isn't rated for simming I do swim with it and so far no problem but if I buy a new one I don't want to risk it.
I would like Fitbit to make a reasonable priced tracker that can handle swimming. I know steps are the gauge of how active you are but I think any real activity should count towards you steps even if it's riding a bike or swimming. I sit at a computer all day so if I swim for a mile (42 or so min). Some days it may be hard to make 10k steps but if I swim a mile it should count towards steps and activity. It may sound petty but I like seeing the screen flash when I make all my goals (steps, stairs, miles, activity, and caps).
It would be amazing if Fitbit made a swim proof Charge 2 HR. I'm excited to try the new flex! The Charge 2 HR is probably the best thing that's ever been created.
I'm one of those people who usually doesn't move my hands when I walk. Usually because I am carrying, pushing or holding something. This means I NEED a fitbit that attaches to my body instead of one that sits on my wrist. But I also need one that is water resistant so I can wear it when I go to the waterpark or to the beach. Or, for those rare times I forget it is still attached and toss it in the wash. Please either make the Fitbit One water resistant (I know mine isn't because it just died), or create & release a new Fitbit Two that does all the things the One does, is water resistant, and maybe tracks heart rate too.
go to the FitBit website ! the new Flex2 is waterproof and so is the AppleWatch with FitBit included.
HOWEVER...I am like you with issues about trackers worn on the hand, and so made a see-thru belting/pouch for mine to put on my waist - it has stretch and a secure fastening, and I can see thru it to the readings as need be.

Love the the idea of the fitbit swim 2 but is there any chance the fitbit 2 swim has the heart rate pulse as well as i check mine on a daily basis (i have a charge hr) as i had heart problems and since my surgery this June i have notice a difference and has helped me. It would have been good to have for the fitbit 2 as it was my swim that i knew something was wrong with my heart.
I totally agree as i do swimming and it would have help me as i have/had heart problems (had surgery in june and all fixed now) and i have notice the difference as i got a charger hr and it has been very interesting my rate is now even. But would like it for swim as it was this exercise i had notice i had a problem but at the time the consultant could not see what was wrong and if i had this it would have given them some idea what i was talking about.
I successfully used Waterfi to successfully waterproof my Fitbit Alta & have been able to swim with it. Would love it if Fitbit would offer monitors already waterproofed.
I couldnt agree more that the Charge needs to be swim proof. Nothing more annoying than having to take it on and off while at the beach. Plus most of your competition has already moved in this direction.
I would also love to see the Charge HR be swim proof. Nothing is more annoying than having to worry about taking it on and off at the beach. I tried the Flex 2 but I don't want to give up the feature and style of the Charge.
I really wish you guys had a Fitbit that can handle heart rate AND swimming. Pebble already has both functionalities at a reasonable price. So does the Apple watch, which is not so reasonable. I'm really considering switching away from Fitbit... Which sucks because a lot of my friends are on Fitbit.
I have switched from fitbit to apple watch. But acutally I don't feel apple watch is better. I do miss fitbit. The main reason is fitbit manage your data better than apple watch.
I originally got the Fitbit Flex but didn't like that it didn't have a screen. I didn't like having to go to my phone to check my stats. I returned it and for a Fitbit Alta. I love having the screen!! The only thing I dislike is that it isn't waterproof. I am disabled and can only exercise in water. So I never can track any activity I do in water. I don't want the Flex 2 because it doesn't have a screen, as I said earlier. It would be awesome to have a simple tracker like the Alta(without all the "bells and whistles" that the more expensive Fitbit's have) but it be waterproof also!!
I would really love a Fitbit that is absolutely or very close to being waterproof. When it's time to upgrade that's what I want. Also if you could use the galvanic diabetic blood sugar testing in the fitbits that would be wonderful to but at the very least waterproof.
I really like my Charge HR. But what I want is something like the Surge with HR and for it to be swim proof so I can measure my heart rate when swimming, combined with a stylish analogue feel like the Withings Steel HR (or perhaps a choice to flick between this and a digital clockface).
Style, substance, and swimming. I hope it's not too difficult. I love the Fitbit app, I love the community, but if I can't get something like this soon I may, reluctantly, need to look elsewhere.
May I just say I love my current Fitbit Charge HR. It has served me very well.
However, recently I have been looking at other products such as the Surge. I was just about to buy it when I thought I'd look around for other smart wearable tech to see what else is there.
I think it would be great to have a version of the Surge which is swim proof, can measure various swim exercises accurately, can measure land exercises accurately. I would also like to see a version which was really stylish like the recently released Mondiane Helvetica, Olio Model One or the Withings Steel HR. Something that gave you an option of a really nice analogue watch face, but one where you could still access your Fitbit stats, and other things that the Surge provides.
I would love to have this. My pool workouts would be greatly improved if I could wear my charge hr and get my heart rate from it. Sure, I could feel my pulse and count off 10 secs and multiply by 6 but getting it from my Fitbit would be much easier.
