Is SpO2 on Fitbit devices location dependent?

Unless I’m missing something, it seems like Fitbit’s O2 sat feature is location dependent. I was abroad in Nepal visiting some mountains hoping to track how my blood’s oxygen saturation changes. However, while I was there, the SPO2 page on the display disappeared.

Any thoughts whether I’m correct in my assessment and if so why is this the case?

Hello @woungchi3

Just to let you know, you posted your question in the Fitbit Ace LTE forum. The Ace LTE is a device designed for children and doesn't have the SpO2 feature.

Please let us know which Fitbit device you have so that we can move your post to the correct product help forum.

That said, Fitbit's SpO2 feature availability is limited by country. This page on Fitbit's SpO2 feature (<-- click link) lists the countries. Nepal is not on the list.

Certain health features for wearables require approval by a country's Medical Regulatory Agency. It doesn't look like Fitbit/Google has gotten approval in Nepal.
