I do not understand why the Ace line of products have limited fitness-related features when compared to other Fitbit products. This is especially true of the Ace LTE, since it is running Wear OS, and thus is also logical to compare with e.g. the Pixel Watch 2.
Specifically, the Ace LTE it doesn't have any sleep tracking, whereas prior Ace products did.
And it doesn't have any detailed activity tracking such as (for example) tracking a swim. Compare to the Inspire 2, which detects a swim and tracks the duration, distance, pace, and heart rate graph and breaks the swim down by vigorous/moderate/light activity zones. The Pixel Watch 2 seems to also be capable of this.
I understand that the child wearing the Ace LTE may not want to see or understand all of this sleep and activity data, but many parents would certainly be interested in it and would like to see it show up in the Fitbit (or Fitbit Ace) app on the parent's phone. So I have no issue with the simple and fun gamified versions of activity tracking presented on the Ace LTE's screen. My issue is more with the lack of features given:
1) The price
2) The hardware and software similarities to the Pixel Watch 2
3) The capabilities of other Fitbit and past Fitbit Ace products
4) Parent interest in these features.
Honorable mention also goes to the anticipated limitations in tap-to-pay where only 2 specific kid-oriented prepaid debit cards are mentioned, rather than full support for any card that works with Google Pay
I will submit feature requests for these on this forum and have already shared them with Google/Fitbit privately.

Hi @scootley ,
You actually can see the child's movement on the Ace app. Just go to their tab and select "Movement". It won't give any specifics as to what they did, it will just give specifics in terms of intensity.
If you want the other features added, you can suggest it here where it will get the attention of the engineers who work on the product.

I agree with you. I need to sleep track my child.
They definitely need to implement it as the hardware is available

Yes @DramaQueenDiva you can do that but I clearly stated in my original post that I want something significantly more detailed.

I fully agree. I would like the ability to track heart rate and sleep trends for my children.

100%. I personally don't care that much about sleep tracking since my child generally needs to charge her device every night, but I'm the parent app I would really like as much data as the device can provide. I would love to know my child's heart rate data, Google's estimates of the *types* of exercise she was engaged in, as well as *where* these activities mostly happened. My child, a young athlete, gets about 2.5 hours of "active" per day, and that again for "light," but I'd like to know much more than that. Calories burned, for example, would help me make sure her nutrition is up to par. Just because it's a kids watch doesn't mean parents don't want the maximum data the sensors can provide.

Hello @Jakeington & @Kinolay
Please see the feature requests that @scootley submitted and add your votes & comments. You can also search for other Ace LTE feature requests in the Product Feedback forum and help upvote those. As Kristen mentioned, the engineers & developers monitor the Product Feedback forum to see what features are being requested for potential future implementation.
