Off-Wrist Battery Drain

ANSWERED

So my two kids have Ace LTEs and, for one of them, the battery drains about 60% each night when Off-Wrist. Even if battery saver is on.. The other watch has no issue. If both are at 100% when I go to bed (I don't let the kids sleep with them to avoid distractions), one will be at about 92% and the other at about 40%. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

P.S. if I factory reset it, which Google support would probably have me do.. will she lose all her stats and her eejie/bit valley stuff?

Hello @Mthoran

I got confirmation that the Ace will re-load your daughter's status and items from a backup when you reconnect the device to her account. However, she might lose her progress on her daily quests, depending on when you do the factory reset. If you can do a factory reset first thing in the morning, before she starts her quests, that would help.

The Fitbit Ace team is looking into the excessive battery drain issue. If they need any information from you, we'll let you know.

Hello @Mthoran

I'm going to ask around about your battery drain issue and will report back.

Regarding your question about the factory reset, I believe your daughter would lose her stats and Eejie/Bit Valley items. I'll ask about this, too.

@RiekoC success! Factory reset it last night, all of her details reloaded very quickly and easily when signed back in. And only about a 9% drain overnight Off-Wrist!

Hi @Mthoran

Thank you for letting us know that the factory reset went well & your daughter got all her details reloaded.

It looks like the factory reset might have also fixed the excessive battery drain, too. As far as I know, the team is still looking into this problem.
