Set up without pay?

We were gifted a Fitbit Ace LTE and would like to set it up without committing to paid subscriptions. Is this possible?

When I try to “add device” in Fitbit Ace app, it tells me to choose annual or monthly payment but no option to continue without a plan. 

We may opt for a paid plan if we eventually want messaging features but for now we don’t need it. However I would like to set it up so I can have parental controls for the games, usage limits, etc.

Sorry to say that the Ace Pass subscription is required to set up the Ace LTE device. Please see this help page (<-- click link) for the details.

I want the same with the Fitbit ace LTE cause my son wants the watch so bad yet due to the cost for the Ace plan, We didn’t pay for it. Google or Fitbit, fix this answer pls.

I doubt that there will a change for the Ace subscription requirement anytime soon. The subscription is needed because the device requires a data plan, which is provided by Google rather than your phone carrier.

If you cancel setting up the subscription during set up, I don't think you can finish setting up the Ace LTE.
