My husband and I have happily used our fitbits for many years. Now I can no longer set up or synch on my laptop. We do not have smart phones. So I guess we just need to pitch them and buy a different tracker?? Is this going to change some day?

Hi @wendlandmtco no, it seems that the ability to set up and sync via the computer won't be returning. So many people these days live on their smartphones. Personally, I use a desktop computer to access these forums and I do miss the dashboard on the website. It's just that most people have moved over to the mobile world. If you have wifi at home and wanted to get a cheap smartphone (no need to get a cell service plan to use wifi) you could do that and share the phone with your individual accounts. That's the only way you'd be able to keep using the Fitbit products.

Hi @wendlandmtco. If you have home wi-fi, you can use a compatible tablet, which will have a larger screen. Why pay for the cellular hardware you will never use?

Well, we are old people . My husband still has a flip phone! I just found a cheap fitness tracker /watch on Amazon that doesn't need a cell phone. So my beloved fitbit is going in the garbage. Thanks for your response.

@wendlandmtco Please check your trash and recycling rules in your location. Rechargeable batteries must be disposed as e-waste, not regular trash, in many locations.
