Hi @jpmaxwell. Thanks for your feedback in regards to improve how Fitbit users can find new apps in the Fitbit App Gallery.
I've seen you also created a Feature Suggestion for this. Nice way to go! 
I'll leave below the 2 suggestions found so other users who jump in here can see them and vote for them:
- Highlight new watchfaces and apps in Fitbit App Gallery
- Add filter for new and/or updated to Clocks and Apps Gallery
Different kinds of developers often check that board to get idea to work on. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

For anyone else jumping in here asking for the same, if you open the Fitbit App Gallery and scroll down, the second to last section is now 'recently added' apps.
