App adding steps when manually logging exercise, and changed heart rate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For months the app has not let me change the distance on automatically recorded runs (it changes for a second then reverts to wrong distance), so I’ve had to delete the run and add it in manually instead. Not ideal, but it worked.

Yesterday I did this as usual, and it has now added the steps of the run to my total daily step count, which it doesn’t usually do, and it’s incorrect.

It has also completely changed my heart rate between the automatically recorded one (which I deleted) and the manually logged run. It’s ridiculous as when you go to the heart rate section in the app it is still correct, but comes up with completely inaccurate heart rate/zones in the logged exercise.

This is really frustrating as I’m using it to log my training for an event. Customer support is non-existent: they sent about 12 replies from different people asking me for the same thing, and then cancelled  my help request because I took just over 24h to reply (when they often took more than 24h to reply, too).
Such a shame as it was a good product to start with - I’ve used Fitbit for 6+ years and it has become inaccurate and frustrating. Once this watch dies I will be living away from Fitbit.

I agree with you. I will not be purchasing fitbit again. My fitbit will change save the edits I make to the time of my workout.
When I put it on swim mode or workout mode, sometimes I forget to turn it off when I am done and then I remember an hour or 2 later. I need to enter the correct time when my workout ended and it will not save the changes. I have an android device and an apple device. I have issues with the app in both devices. Obviously there are issues with this app and nothing is being done to fix it.
Time to leave fitbit. I've been a customer for almost 10yrs.

I never used to have problems. This has been happening for weeks.
