Probably in Settings, if possible, but can't tell you more precisely without knowing the model.  Search through Settings and you can find it if it is there, but there are limits.  You might wanting to make it brighter than it can get.  Some are basically just hard to read in bright (or any) sunlight.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
