I cannot use the weather app on my versa at the moment (which I have made a seperate post about) and there is no option to remove/uninstall it from my Versa either. So it’s permanently installed on my Fitbit and it’s an app I cannot use.

@gracesb @SunsetRunner @MTVavo There are several Fitbit apps that cannot be uninstalled. Tips is another one.
My recommendation is to revoke the permissions in the app. This should help with battery life. Then reposition the app to be on the last screen. You can reposition an app by holding light pressure on it and dragging it.

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @gracesb
I understand you wish to uninstall an app on your Fitbit Versa. Here’s how:

This does not work. There is no button or option to "remove" or "uninstall" the weather app.

Hello again @gracesb
Im not familiar with all the pre-installed apps that are on the Fitbit Versa. I personally have an Alta HR. But my understanding is that only pre-reinstalled Apps can not be uninstalled. Is this indeed a pre-installed App? You can look at this thread here where an individual is giving advice on how to delete a preloaded app. Maybe it’s something you can try: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa-Smartwatches/Delete-preloaded-apps/td-p/2658813
😃 please keep me posted

I have already read that thread and tried those steps but that does not work either. There is no option to remove or uninstall the apps.

Hello again @gracesb
Did you try my suggestions in your other post? I suggested restarting your Fitbit Tracker and maybe doing so will correct the weather app syncing issue
😉 keep me posted

Another thing you can try is this:
go to your online Dashboard (tap the word Dashboard at the upper right of your screen)
now tap the gear wheel on the top right of your screen
tap setting in the drop down menu
on the left side of your screen tap applications
is the weather app listed here? Are you able to delete it here?
😉 Keep me posted

Restarting my fitbit did not work and I cannot delete the app from the online Dashboard either.
The weather app needs to be updated so it works properly. The developer/Fitbit obviously have not made it compatible with the latest iOS update.

There is no “remove” option. Once the app is installed, the “box” turns gray and becomes obsolete.

Grace, I spent 45 minutes chatting with a Customer Service who couldn’t me with this.

Fitbit customer service is worthless. Weather app stopped working shortly after received it. I tried to get help to get it working again and was told my problem was elevated to the tech support team and someone would follow up in 48 hours. 72 hours later, I called back. Totally different story. Turns out Weather app as bugs and they have no idea when it will be fixed. Looks like it’s had problems for 1-2 years yet not fixed. Not a good indicator of Fitbit support.
Will probably return.

I have toggled off all permissions. I have installed another weather app. Is there a way that I can make the new weather app my preferred app? I never use AccuWeather because they have never in all of my life been accurate with the weather in my area. All day today the weather app has been saying it is raining when I have had sunshine and clear skies. This is every single day. The app is useless for me.

I would also like to permanently get rid of this weather bloat ware! I don't need it running down my Fitbit intentionally. There are several I would like to get off of here by the calendar isn't running I also don't want that on my wrist. I don't own a Spotify I want that off of my list. Crowding out and draining my battery with useless apps I paid enough for uninstall to be on all of them not just the Starbucks card. Which I was a successfully able to uninstall, thank you very much. Please repeat this uninstall option button on all apps.

I have the same issue. There is no remove button. My weather app isn't changing location and I wanted to remove and re install.
