I got the Clue app for my Versa yesterday after being notified it was ready. The app part of it on my phone seems to work fine (although I agree it's missing some crucial information for fertility tracking), but the app on my watch doesn't work at all.
I keep getting the message "Log In Go to your Clue App Settings in the Fitbit App to log in to your account." When I go into my Fitbit app I'm logged in to Fitbit but I see no option to log into the Clue app within the Fitbit app. I downloaded the Clue app thinking it would help but it did nothing. Also hoping I won't need a third party app for this to work.
Am I missing something?

As you might have hinted the Clue app is not the native Fitbit app for female tracking but a third party app (well done, I have to say).
So you might want to delete it.
Now to use the native Fitbit app, you need to add the tile on your Fitbit app on your mobile phone. The Versa (or Ionic) device doesn't have a native app but you can find the information required at the bottom of Today app.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Sticker, I'm glad to see you around! If you are trying to connect your Clue account with your Versa, please note that you need to have a password for your Clue account.
If you previously created your Clue account using Facebook or Google, simply follow these steps:
PS: I moved your post to the Fitbit App Gallery as there are more chances to get app related replies here.
Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know!

Sorry my post wasn't clear enough. I am not trying to connect the Clue app to my Fitbit.
My FitBit app updated on my phone (Android) saying that female health tracking was now available. When I checked the app store for Versa it was showing as Clue. I put Clue on my Versa (thinking this is the female health tracking app since it wasn't there before) and now it's telling me I have to use my FitBit app to sign into Clue. I didn't have Clue before all of this and I can't figure out how to sign into Clue within the Fitbit app to get it to work on my watch.
If Clue isn't supposed to be the female health tracking app that Fitbit has been promising I'll delete it off of my watch and happily install the correct one. I only signed up for the third party Clue app thinking that would solve the problem and get the app on my Versa to work, which it has not. As of right now, the Clue app on my Versa is completely unusable since I keep getting it to tell me to Log In (as seen in the picture).
So again, I'm not looking to get the third party Clue app to work with my Versa. I'm trying to get the Clue app ON my Versa to work. And yes, both my app and watch are updated to newest version.
FitBit app update showing female health tracking available now.
Clue settings within FitBit app.
Clue settings within FitBit app 2.
Clue app on Versa.
Log In Error I recieve.

My friend @Giampi71 is absolutely right!
Thanks for the screen shots @Sticker. The Clue doesn't belong to Fitbit, it's a third-party app. You can remove many of the apps installed on your watch, although some apps, such as Today and Settings, can't be removed.
To remove an app:
To make sure you're getting Female Health Tracking app, double check that your Fitbit app for Android is already running the latest version, which should be on 2.72 as of today.
To get more information about this new feature, check the article What is female health tracking in the Fitbit app?
Hope this helps, let us know if we can assist you further!

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to know.
I know that Clue is one of the few that get fertility tracking right and I'd be using it if I weren't using, what I feel, is the best fertility tracking app already.
Clue just happened to pop into the app store for the Versa at the same time that FitBit announced their version of fertility tracking. Hence the confusion.

Actually Clue appeared at least 3 months ago, maybe you never noticed.
I feel your comments about the lacks of Fitbit in-house solution compared with other third parties. My wife and I use Flo that I would really be happy if it could support Fitbit Ionic/Versa.

I also am having issues, except it shows a different error message. Whenever I try and access the app on my versa it tells me I have to sync my watch to the app. Once I sync my watch it still says the same thing so I have to go into the clue app through Fitbit and logout of my clue account and back in and then it works but it’s annoying because I have to do this every time. Any suggestions?

I've been checking the watch app store since I got my watch and it just recently appeared.
Thanks for the suggestion for Flo, I actually use Fertility Friend. I used both Flo and FF and found that FF is much more accurate for my cycles.
I also finally (today) got the Fitbit period tracker to show on my watch.

Hi there,
I’m hoping you’ll be able to help me, im having a different problem, I have the clue app all setup, my clue log in etc is all fine, the clue app is working fine through my Fitbit app on my phone. However when I go to open it on my Versa watch, it just forever stays stuck on this ‘loading’ screen. But NEVER actually loads anything. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the app through the Fitbit app but have had no luck, same problem happens again.
any suggestions?
thank you!
