Connection lost

Most of the time when I go to use assistant I get a connection lost error. I have all power optimization and app launch settings turned off for the Fitbit app. I need a solution as this makes the device an expensive piece of trash. My phone is a Huawei p30 pro.

If you stop or logout of the Fitbit App you need to reconnect Google Assistant.

You may have missed Bluetooth options, here is something worth retrying.

On the phone check battery optimizations

[the options may be different in your version]

  • First go to Settings > Apps & Notification > Special app access
  • Click on Battery optimization
  • Now press the drop down menu [...] and select “All Apps
  • Click on Bluetooth and then select “Don’t optimize
  • Same with Fitbit
  • Next go to Settings > Apps  > Fitbit > Storage
  • Clear cache [not data]
  • Force stop the Fitbit app

Someone said that they were running the beta version of the Google app and rolling it back out of beta fixed their problem with Google Assistant losing connection, which I have that issue as well as my wife. So try that if you're running the beta version of the Google app.

I've done that for fitbit. There's no Bluetooth entry though. I'll try clearing the Fitbit cache.
