Fitbit suddenly won’t send any data to Cronometer

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Until 2 days ago all my Fitbit activity and health stats were automatically sent straight to my Cronometer app. Easy.

Now, no data at all crosses from the Fitbit app to the Cronometer app. No activity, heart rate, nothing. I’ve tried many ways of fixing it:

Revoking Cronometer’s privileges in Fitbit app and then relinking them. Still no data sent.

Unlinking the Fitbit app from inside Cronometer app and then relinking them. Still no data sent.

Unlink actual Fitbit from Fitbit app and the relink them. No change.

Using forced-sync feature in Cronometer to sync. It always gives an error.

I can NOT get this to work and it used to be so easy 4 days ago. What am I doing wrong? Please help. My Fitbit is basically useless to me if it can’t report stats to apps.

Thanks.

I am having the same issue. I have restarted my Fitbit. Tried force syncing the apps. Unlinked and relinked. Triple checked firmware, apps, and OS are all up to date.

Still getting an error.

Same here. Sync to fitbit (calories, weight) works, and sleep goes to Cronometer, but no activity data getting synced.

Same here!

Forcing sync in Cronometer hasn't worked.

Sync is working with Smashrun, so this sounds like a Cronometer issue.

I would agree with it being a Cronometer issue, except several other third party integrations also quit working at the same time, like weight watchers.

I reached out to Fitbit support and they confirmed some backend changes that happened at the same time the sync stopped working. So it is more likely some bad coding that is affecting a handful of applications.

In the meantime we are stuck only  being able to partially use our applications.

Got bored and looked in the developer part of the forum. This explains the entire problem. Now waiting on Fitbit to fix the issues.

It looked like it worked for me late last night but it logged "Fitbit Activity" as 43 mins and -2207 calories!

I'll take it as it makes me feel better but I hope it's more accurate today!

EDIT: nope, it has logged "Fitbit Activity" as 0 mins and -1109 calories already at 9am!

I have been dealing with the same issue. It is now a “known” issue on the Fitbit status site.

Cronometer has advised me to switch Fitbit activity off for the time being and use the targets under the more tab.

You can set a baseline activity level under “energy settings” which will add a set of calories based on your input. It is not as accurate as Fitbit feeding in active calories was before last weekend. But it is better that what we’re are currently getting, until Fitbit fixes the issue.
