On my Garmin, I used to have an app - DWMap which would allow me to upload a route which I could then follow without risk of getting lost (the watch would buzz when I was meant to take a turning and the show directions on the screen).

 

Is there anything like this for the Fitbit? I would love to be able to pre-plot a long walk without having to carry a map or instructions around.

Hi! I don't think that is a feature for Fitbit devices. If you want to see that in the future I would navigate to the feature requests section of the Fitbit community website.
