Game Golf experience

The Microsoft Band 2 had a great app that used the accelerometer and GPS along with Course maps to give you current yards to hole, tracked your swings and such, any news if there will be a golf app for the fitbit Ionic?

How did you get the courses to build on the watch. They loaded but won’t build

I had the same problem yesterday so today, I went into the Golf Game app
logged out, logged back in, readded the courses and boom they appeared on
my Ionic. Go figure! Trial and error that's the formula cause there
certainly no reason it would work today and not yesterday. I'll find out
how well it performs now later today when I play. Hope this helps.

There is no methid that consistently works. Shy of completely uninstalling the app and re-installing. Very frustrating.

You are right, I finally got it loaded etc., but when I got on the course
the whole thing went bonkers again requiring me to start and restart the
rounds. It's not worth the effort at all.

Worked fine off between 5-7 yards. Stood on 150 plate stated 156

Attempted to use mine yesterday, while on the hole it worked fine, then it
defaulted back to the watch face, then I would have to find and reopen the
app, select the course again, scroll to the hole, etc., just too much
frustration to continue. I did compare the distances to my Bushnell watch
(still wearing 2 cause of the Ionic’s failures) and they seemed to always
be within a yard or two of each other. The course marker my have be off on
the course you played as they sometimes are.

The only thing this seems to do is give distances to Green. Does it have any other functions?

I downloaded Game Golf and started it on the Ionic.  Downloaded 2 courses.  

Started a round with one of the courses.  It lets me cycle through the holes with the correct pars and maps of greens, but it does NOT display any yardage and at the top of the screen, in red, it says "No GPS Connection".

How do I get it to connect?

Basically keeps asking me to sync my watch, which I have done multiple times.  Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Always the same.

Any update on the Golf App? I'm considering getting a Versa. I use an iphone too. I heard there's a third-party app called Golf GPS but didn't find it in a quick search. Thanks for any info.

Up until now, I have been attempting to use The Golf Game GPS app.
Tomorrow, I will be using the Golf GPS app during my round to see how it
functions on the course. After my round tomorrow, I will be better able to
give you some feedback on the Golf GPS app, along with my overall
comparison and thoughts of the performance of both apps.

Jon, this app does not work with the Versa. Ionic only. Yes, it's stupid. No, you can't do anything about it.

As long as Fitbit insists on using their own OS with their own apps, we're going to have to deal with the fact that they won't have any content other than what they're able to bribe people to make for them. Do not buy a Fitbit watch for golf.

Please be sure to post the results as I am curious as to how well the other app works on Ionic and which you like better.

I have had no issues using Game Golf on my Ionic. I wish it had auto advance, but otherwise it has been great and accurate. I was just at the Players yesterday, had TPC Sawgrass loaded on my Ionic, and could tell how far the players shots were as we walked the fairways. Pretty cool.
